SURP Student Associations

Read on the variety of student associations within SURP that SURPA provides guidance and mentorship for.

Toronto Metropolitan Association of Planning Students' (TMAPS):
TMAPS is the course union affiliate of the Toronto Met Students’ Union (TMSU) and the Faculty of Community Services Society (FCSS) that represents undergraduate Urban and Regional Planning students at Toronto Metropolitan University. TMAPS is elected to represent the interests of the undergraduate SURP student body.

Metropolitan Planning Graduate Students' Association (MPGSA):
MPGSA is the course union affiliate of the Toronto Met Graduate Students’ Union (TMGSU) that represents masters of Urban and Regional Planning students at Toronto Metropolitan University. MPGSA is elected to represent the interests of the graduate SURP student body.

Faculty of Community Services Society (FCSS):
FCSS is the undergraduate faculty-level students' society in the Faculty of Community Services. FCSS has a School of Urban and Regional Planning Director who represents the needs of the SURP student body on their Board of Directors. Furthermore the FCSS executive typically has at-least one Urban and Regional Planning student each year.

TMU Transit Club (TTC - FoT) Friends of Transit:
TTC Friends of Transit is a brand new student club that is ratified under the FCSS Umbrella that is looking to host transit ride-along, panel discussions and photography events to connect the transit community together within SURP and TMU.
