What is the Spring Reception?
Our annual Spring Reception is Ontario's largest formal networking and fundraising event for the planning, real estate, and land development industry of its kind to support current Urban and Regional Planning students at Toronto Metropolitan University.
Over the past two decades the annual SURPA Spring Reception has weaved together thousands of urban planners, city builders, students, politicians, and changemakers in fundraising for undergraduate, masters, and justice-deserving endowment funds, scholarships, and awards.
Community the event serves:
The Spring Reception fundraising event idea was first envisioned of by Anthony Biglieri, and the first committee of the alumni association. The purpose was to connect alumni industry leaders, firms, city builders, and students with the goal to support students, and the programs offered at the school.

What to Expect:
Our annual Spring Reception features a curated selection of hand-crafted canapés savory passed plates that highlight the vibrant, fresh flavors of the city. As you mingle, enjoy a continuous parade of chef-inspired "mini-meals" followed by a delightful array of petite, seasonal sweets.
